Aloo Chaat or Potato Chaat is a famous street food in India. It's the easiest snack item one can make at home for a big gathering. One can never go wrong in frying Potatoes to crisp - it's just the way you season Potatoes and of course present it!

Potatoes cubed - 3
 Oil for deep frying
 Salt to taste
 Onions chopped - 1
 Chaat Masala - ½ tsp
 Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp
 Cumin Powder - ¼ tsp
 Ginger cut into strips - 1 inch piece
 Lemon Juice - 2 Tbsp
 Green Chillies finely chopped - 2
 Coriander Leaves / Cilantro finely chopped for garnishing


• First of all take Ginger strips in a bowl, add a spoon of Lemon Juice and Salt and keep it refrigerated.

• Heat Oil in a pan, deep fry the Potato pieces till golden brown in colour and crisp. Drain them on a kitchen towel.

• Then transfer these Potatoes in a bowl, add Onions, Salt, Chaat Masala, Red Chilli Powder, Cumin Powder, Green Chillies, Coriander Leaves / Cilantro and the remaining Lemon Juice. Toss well.

• Transfer it into a serving dish and top it with the Ginger strips.

• Serve immediately.
