Ayam Satay Sauce is a rich, thick savoury sauce made from Australian peanuts. It is ideal poured over cooked meat, vegetables or seafood or delicious as a hot dipping sauce.
Ayam Satay Sauce contains no preservative, no colourings, no added MSG and is Gluten Free.
Recipe Suggestion: Prawn Satay
Serves 4
1kg medium uncooked king prawns, peeled and devein leaving the heads and tails
1 tablespoon AYAM Fish Sauce
1 tablespoon AYAM Sweet Chilli Sauce
1 can AYAM Mild Satay Sauce 250ml
2 Avocados, peeled, seeded, chopped
2 tablespoons Chopped Coriander
2 teaspoons Lime Juice
2 teaspoons Mirin
• Combine the Fish Sauce, the Sweet Chili Sauce and the Mild Satay sauce in a large bowl.
• Add the Prawns and toss to coat. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
• Preheat the grill to high.
• Grill the prawns for about 2 minutes on each side, until just cooked through.
• For the Coriander Avocado Dip, simply combine the Avocados, Coriander, Lime Juice and Mirin in a serving bowl for dipping. You can do it also just before serving.
