Biryani Curry Paste - authentic Bolst's since 1932

The Bolst family of Bangalore have been involved in the selection and preparation of Indian food ingredients since 1932. They have a well-deserved, international reputation for producing fine Curry Powders, Pastes, Pickles, Achars and Chutneys, with many of their products achieving cult status across the world.
Biryani:

• Soak 500g basmati rice in water for 20 minutes, drain and set aside.

• In a pan, add 2 tbsp Biryani Curry Paste to 500g chicken (or your choice of meat, seafood or vegetables), 2 sliced green chillies, 1 sliced onion, 1 chopped tomato, salt to taste, and cook until done.

• In another pan, fry 1 sliced onion in 2 tbsp clarified butter. Add the drained rice and fry for 3-5 minutes until the rice becomes translucent.

• Add the cooked meat, tbsp lime juice, 4 cups boiling water and stir. Cover with a tight lid and cook over a low heat for 10 - 15 minutes.

Serve hot garnished with Fried Onions and serve with Indian Bread or Rice and Bolsts selection of Pickles, Achars or Chutneys.
Ingredients: Water, Sesame Oil, Salt, Ginger, Peanut Oil, Garlic, Coriander, Chilli, Acetic Acid, Cardamom, Cloves, Cumin, Pepper, Cinnamon.
