Minced Beef (not lean) - 500g
| ||Egg Yolks - 2|| |
| ||Garlic Powder - 1 tsp|| |
| ||Oyster Sauce - 50 ml|| |
| ||White Bread - 5 slices blitzed to crumbs|| |
| ||Black Pepper - to taste|| |
| ||Salt - to taste|| |
| ||Cheddar Cheese slices - 4|| |
| ||Chillato Chutney - 4 tbsps|| |
| ||Burger Buns - 4|| |
| ||Beef Tomato Slices - 4|| |
| ||Baby Gem Lettuce - 1|| |
• In a large bowl knead the minced beef, egg yolks, garlic powder, oyster sauce and bread crumbs until well combined.
• Divide the beef into 4 equal sized pieces. If you have a burger press then make burgers as your press describes, alternatively use a chefs ring or make a ball shape and flatten gently with the palm of your hand.
• Fry the burgers on both sides until lightly charred and cooked through. On the final turn place the sliced cheddar on top to melt.
• Warm or lightly toast the burger buns, and fill with a couple of crispy lettuce leaves and the burger, followed by a slice of tomato and then the most important part - a good dollop of Chillato Chutney.
