A gorgeous, easy to make burger, topped with arguably the best burger relish - Prices Spices Chillato Chutney...

Preparation Time:

15 mins

Cooking Time:

10 mins

Minced Beef (not lean) - 500g
 Egg Yolks - 2
 Garlic Powder - 1 tsp
 Oyster Sauce - 50 ml
White Bread - 5 slices blitzed to crumbs
 Black Pepper - to taste
 Salt - to taste
 Cheddar Cheese slices - 4
 Chillato Chutney - 4 tbsps
 Burger Buns - 4
 Beef Tomato Slices - 4
 Baby Gem Lettuce - 1

• In a large bowl knead the minced beef, egg yolks, garlic powder, oyster sauce and bread crumbs until well combined.

• Divide the beef into 4 equal sized pieces. If you have a burger press then make burgers as your press describes, alternatively use a chefs ring or make a ball shape and flatten gently with the palm of your hand.

• Fry the burgers on both sides until lightly charred and cooked through. On the final turn place the sliced cheddar on top to melt.

• Warm or lightly toast the burger buns, and fill with a couple of crispy lettuce leaves and the burger, followed by a slice of tomato and then the most important part - a good dollop of Chillato Chutney.

"Dear Spices of India, Hi there, Just like to say thanks for the great service! I still find it a bit of a worry when using a website for the first time - especially when buying presents for others. But I placed my order at lunchtime yesterday, and the delivery van delivered before 9am this morning. If only some of the big brands could offer service that was so effective!! Many thanks,"
