Cook this traditional, rich tomato based Chickpea Curry at home with this carefully blended spice mix...



Preparation Time:

20-30 mins


800g canned Chickpeas drained
 1 Onion chopped
 2 tbsps Sunflower/Vegetable Oil
 1 tin Chopped Tomatoes
 Salt to taste
 Garlic - 2 tsp crushed
 Ginger - 1 tsp chopped
 Green Chillies - 1 tsp chopped
 Fresh Coriander - handful
 Curry Cuisine Chickpea Curry - 1 Pack


• Place the Oil in a pan and heat, add the Onions and cook until golden.

• Add the Chopped Tomatoes, Garlic, Ginger, Chillies and the Curry Cuisine Spice Mix and stir.

• Simmer for 5 -10 minutes with the lid on. The masala will be ready when the Oil appears on the surface.

• Add the Chickpeas to the pan and stir. Cook for 1-2 minutes to warm the Chickpeas through.

• Add just enough hot Water to cover the Chickpeas and cook over a medium heat for 5 minutes then add the Fresh Coriander.

Serve with Cumin Rice, Naan Bread and Chapattis.
