The Chinthe (pronounced chin-thay) family business was established in 1974 when Bertie and Barbara began making and selling Burmese condiments to supplement their grocery trade. Today their grandchildren continue the tradition, using the same authentic recipes to produce this range of Burmese pickles, sauces and condiments.
Burmese Brinjal Pickle is a spicy, hot accompaniment for any rice or curry dish. It is also very tasty in a crusty roll or baguette.
Chinthe Tip:
Burmese Brinjal Pickle can be added to any cooked meat or fish for an instant curry. It is also delicious stir-fried with lamb, and served on a bed of noodles or rice for a quick and tasy meal.
Ingredients:
Aubergine 70%, Vegetable Oil, Malt Vinegar (contains Gluten), Chilli, Ginger, Garlic, Cumin, Mustard Powder, Turmeric, Sugar, Salt.
Store in a cool dark place. Once opened, consume within 4 weeks.
