Vine Leaves in Salted Water - Cypressa - 227g

Net weight: 227g - Approx 50 vine leaves per pack.
Ready to serve hot or cold as an hors d'oeuvre, cocktail or with a main meal.
Ingredients:
Vine Leaves, Water, Salt, Citric Acid, E 330, E 210, E 220.
Recipe Idea: With rice and herbs.
Ingredients:
1 Packet of Vine Leaves
454g of Mince Meat
100g of Cypressa Rice
1 Onion
1 tbsp of Cypressa Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 tbsps of Tomato Puree
3 tbsps of 'Cypressa' lemon juice
2 tbsps finely chopped Parsley
Ground Cinnamon
Ground Black Pepper and salt to taste.
Method:
• Place Vine Leaves in boiling water for 5 minutes.
• Meanwhile, finely chop the onion and place in a casserole with oil and fry until golden brown. Remove from heat.
• Add all the other ingredients and stir until well mixed.
• Spread out the leaves and place a portion of the filling onto each leaf. Roll up, tucking in the sides to make a neat parcel.
• Pack them closely in layers in the casserole and add enough water to cover. Place a plate on top to keep them tightly packed.
• Place the lid on the casserole and simmer for 45 minutes or until the water is absorbed.
When opened transfer to a jar and store in a refrigerator.
