Ingredients: Urad Dal, Coriander, Chilli, Black Pepper, Fenugreek, Cumin Seed, Turmeric, Salt, Asafoetida.

Recipe Idea: Eastern Rasam.

3 Tomatoes (cut into 4 pieces each)
50g Dal
50g Tamarind
7 cups Water
4 tbsp Eastern Rasam Powder
Fenugreek (as required)
Crushed Garlic (as required)
Red Chillies (as required)
Mustard (as required)
Curry Leaves (as required)
Salt to taste

Preparation:

1) Boil Tomatoes, Dal and Garlic in 4 cups of water. Smash to a puree and filter through a sieve.

2) Add 4 tablespoons of Eastern Rasam Powder and bring to the boil.

3) Season with Mustard, Fenugreek, Red Chillies and Curry Leaves.
