Mixed Spices for Spicy Rice.
Ingredients:
Coriander, Mint Leaves, Chilli, Mace, Salt, Cumin, Fennel, Green Cardamom, Cinnamon, Sugar, Bay Leaves, Black Cardamom, Turmeric, Citric Acid, Dry Fenugreek Leaves, Clove, Black Pepper and Star Anise.
Recipe for Vegetable Biryani:
Ingredients:
300g of Basmati Rice
100g each of a Choice of Vegetables
2 chopped Tomatoes
1 chopped Onion
Ghee (clarified butter)
Saffron
Roasted Cashews to garnish.
Cooking Instructions:
• Boil the rice in a pan on a low heat for 15 -20 minutes.
• Heat the Ghee (clarified Butter) in a pan, add chopped the Onions and sauté until golden brown. Add 2 teaspoons of Fudco Biryani Masala. Add the tomatoes and sauté.
• Add the boiled Vegetables, cover the saucepan and cook on a medium flame for at least 5 minutes. Remove the lid and cook on a low flame for at least 10 minutes to allow the gravy to thicken.
• Layer the serving bowl with alternating layers of Rice and Vegetables. Garnish with Saffron and Roasted Cashews. Serve steaming hot.
