Originating from the kitchen of the Maharaja of Orchreal way back in 1899, Palak Paneer combines fresh spinach and cottage chees (ricotta) in a creamy curry.
A vegetarian dish from the lush green fields of Punjab "The Land of the Five Rivers", this puree of tender spinach leaves is slowly simmered with pure cubes of Indian flavours and enhanced by a subtle addition of spices and seasonings, creating a dish which is as tasty as it is wholesome.
Absolutely delicious with rice of hot Indian naan bread, paratha or chappati.
To prepare: simply immerse the foil pouch in boiling water for 3-5 minutes, or empty the contents into a microwave bowl and heat in a microwave oven for 1-2 minutes.
Ingredients: spinach (56%), cottage cheese, onion, tomato, water, cream, sunflower oil, garlic, green chillies, salt, bay leaves, cumin, turmeric, coriander seeds, fennel seeds, black cardamom, black pepper, star anise, ginger, cinnamon, nutmeg, green cardamom, mace, clove.
