TIPAN TAPAN Range: Traditional Gurkha Party Food. Enjoy over a drink with friends, as a side dish or as the main event!

Nearly always included in Tipan Tapan, this spice blend is great with Sausages, but can also be enjoyed with Prawns, Chicken and Potatoes.

Recipe: Aloo Dam

Shopping List:

500g Sausages or Potatoes/Chicken/Prawns
1 large Onion, sliced
1 green/red Pepper (optional), sliced
1 large clove Garlic, crushed
1 tsp Ginger puree
2 tbsp Tomato Puree
Salt to taste
100ml Water
3tbsp Sunflower Oil

Method:

• Cook the Sausages (or Potatoes/Chicken/Prawns) and cut into bite-sized pieces.

• Fry the Onion (and Pepper, if using) in the Oil, with the Garlic and Ginger and Spice Mix Sachet 1, over a medium heat, until soft.

• Add Sachet 2, the Tomato Puree and 50ml Water and fry for 3-4 minutes.

• Add the remaining 50ml Water and the rest of the ingredients, season with Salt to taste, heat through and serve.

Ingredients: Cumin, Coriander, Nepalese Garam Masala, Turmeric, Cayenne Pepper.

Free from artificial additives and preservatives.

Suitable for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs: Gluten free.

Prepared in an environment that uses nuts.
