Medu Vadai - Savoury Doughnut Mix - Gits

Available in 200g and 500g packs.

Savoury tea-time snacks made from lentils, and fried until crisp, crunchy, and golden brown.

Makes 18 Vadais of approx. 16g each:

• Mix contents of the 300g pack with 160 ml water to form a soft dough. Set aside for 10-15 mins.

• Divide the dough into 18 parts. Mould each part into a doughnut shape.

• Heat 300 ml oil in a deep pan until a pinch of dough rises quickly to the surface. Deep fry the Medu Vadais until crispy and golden brown. Serve hot with Gits Sambhar, coconut chutney or tomato sauce.

Ingredients: Lentils flour, Wheat flour, Hydrogenated vegetable oil, Salt, Raising agents (Sodium bicarbonate, Citric acid), Asafoetida and permitted anti-oxidant E320.
