Uttappam - Gits

Available in 200g and 500g packs.

A South Indian delicacy akin to Dosai.

Make in 5 easy steps:

1. Mix contents of the 200g pack with 320ml water and stir into a smooth batter. Set aside for 10 minutes.

2. Evenly grease a flat non stick tava/griddle with 1/2 tsp oil and heat on a medium flame. Lightly dab the tava with a damp cloth to cool the surface.

3. Pour 125ml batter in centre of tava and quickly spread with outward spiral motion to form a thick pancake about 6 inches in diameter.

4. Dot the edges with a little oil and cook until golden brown. Cook the other side until golden brown.

5. Serve hot with Gits Sambhar and your choice of coconut chutney or chilli powder mix.

Ingredients : Rice flour, Lentil flour, Salt, Raising Agents (citric acid, sodium bicarbonate), Green Chillies, Ginger powder, Fenugreek seed powder, Sodium Acetate.
