Patak's Curry Pastes make excellent marinades, used on their own or blended 50:50 with plain yogurt. Marinate meat then bake, BBQ or grill.
Suggested Recipe: Chicken Bhuna
Serves 2
Ingredients: 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil 1 Medium Onion, Diced 70g - 1/4 jar Patak's Bhuna Curry Paste 300g Diced Chicken Breast 200g Fresh or Canned Chopped Tomatoes 1 tsp Tomate Puree 100ml Water 1 tsp Fresh Chopped Coriander Leaf (optional)
Method:
1. In a medium sized pan, gently fry the onions in oil until golden.
2. Stir in Patak's Bhuna Curry Paste, add chicken and stir fry until sealed.
3. Add tomatoes, tomato puree and water, mix well and cover pan. Simmer on a low heat for 20mins.
Serve garnished with the chopped coriander leaf.
Equally delicious with beef, lamb or vegetables.
Paste Ingredients: Vegetable Oil, Water, Coriander, Salt, Concentrated Tomato Puree (6%), Tamarind (5%), Cumin, Turmeric, Maize Flour, Chilli, Paprika, Ginger, Black Pepper, Cardamom, Sugar, Spices, Acetic Acid, Lactic Acid.
May contain traces of peanut or tree nuts.
