Mix for Ground Meat Skewer Kebabs.
Easy to Cook - Hard to Resist!
Recipe in Urdu, Hindi, Arabic & Bangla inside.
Ingredients:
Paprika, Red Chilli, Salt, Coriander, Musk Melon, Ginger, All Spice Long Black Pepper, Black Pepper, Cumin, Black Cumin, Mace, Clove, Bay Leaf, Nutmeg, Garlic, Roasted Chick Pea, Carom, Papain.
Recipe suggestion #1:
Seekh Kebab (Ground Meat Skewers Kebab)
Serves 6-8 persons.
Required Ingredients:
Mince: Beef or Chicken - 1kg ground to a fine paste.
Ghee/Butter or Suet - ½ cup/100g suet ground with the mince.
Green Chillies - 2 tablespoons, coarsely ground.
Onion - 1 medium finely diced & crushed.
Ginger Paste - 2 tbsp/50g.
Garlic Paste - 1 heaped tbsp.
Shan Seekh Kebab BBQ Mix - One packet (or less if wanted milder)
Cooking Instructions:
• Mix all the above ingredients except the Ghee/Butter and put it to one side for about 3 hours.
• Mix in the Ghee/Butter (if Suet is not mixed with the minced Meat) and make small meat balls. Thread each meatball through a skewer. With a wet hand flatten out the ground Meat into a thin layer around each skewer.
• When tender about 2 cups of liquid should remain in the pot. Then remove and grind the meat mixture to a coarse paste. Add the Egg(s) and knead well. Make 20-30 round flat Kebabs.
• Put the Seekh Kebabs on a very low heat of coal fire or in an oven. Periodically turn the skewers until the Kebabs are light brown. Do not over grill/brown the Kebabs.
Serving Suggestion:
Serve hot with Parathas, Onion rings rinsed in cold Water and Tamarind Chutney.
Recipe suggestion #2:
Gola Kebabs:
Include the following ingredients in the above recipe:
Fried crushed onion - ½ cup
Plain whipped yogurt - ½ cup
Raw ground Papaya with skin - ½ cup/75g.
• Add the additional ingredients to the Seekh Kebab recipe and follow the cooking instructions. In step No. 2 flatten out the minced meat into a thick layer over the skewers. Wrap a thread over the kebabs or wrap aluminium foil over each skewer and twist at both ends.
Produce of Pakistan.
