Our Asafoetida Powder (Hing) is available in 50g, 100g, 200g and 500g packs.

Asafoetida (Hing) is an Indian spice with a unique and pungent flavour. Ground Asafoetida is often cut with Rice Flour and is less potent. To release the true flavor of Hing, you have to sauté it in oil or ghee. A pinch of ground Asafoetida Hing goes a long way and it should be used sparingly.

Asafoetida Hing and Mustard Seeds sautéed in ghee are often poured over cooked lentils for aroma and flavour and along with other spices, can be used to season vegetables or to make fruit chutneys.

Ingredients: Gum Arabic, Wheat, Rice Flour, Asafoetida, Turmeric.

Please note: the 200g and 500g packs sold here are Top-Op brand and contain rice flour, gum edible, asafoetida and turmeric.
