Chilli Bean Sauce (Toban Djan) - Lee Kum Kee

Made from a special blend of chilli and fermented broad beans, this Sichuan-style Chilli Bean Sauce (Toban Djan) is great for dipping or making spicy dishes.

Recipe suggestions:

Ma Po Tofu:

• Stir fry 120g minced beef/pork for 30 seconds. Add 1 tbsp minced garlic and 2 ½ tbsp Chilli Bean Sauce, 350d diced bean curd and 3 tbsp water and cook through.

Pan Fried Pork Belly with Chilli Bean Sauce:

• Pan-fry 300g thinly sliced pork belly in 1/2 tbsp oil until golden yellow and done. Add 1 tbsp minced garlic and 1 tbsp minced ginger and stir well for 1 minute.

• Stir in 2 ½ tbsp Chilli Bean Sauce (Toban Djan), 1 tsp sugar, 2tbsp Char Siu Sauce and 3 tbsp water and heat through.

• Sprinkle with roasted sesame seeds and shredded spring onions.

Ingredients: Salted Chilli Pepper 48%, Water, Fermented Soybean Paste (Water, Salt, Soybean, Wheat), Fermented Broad Bean Paste (Broad Bean, Salt, Wheat) 9%, White Sugar, Garlic 3%, Modified Corn Starch, Chilli Pepper Powder, Soybean Oil, Acid E270, Flavour Enhancers E631& E627.

Shake well before use. Refrigerate after opening.
