Methi Mutter Malai

Methi Mutter Malai is a north indian dish. It means Fenugreek and Peas in a cream based gravy. Its packed full of nutrients hence this will overtake all the bitterness of the Methi leaves. This can be eaten with Rice or Roti but just remember the Cal ;)

Ingredients:
Cream - ½ Cup
Fenugreek leaves chopped - 1 bunch
Green Peas boiled - 1 Cup
Salt to taste
Ghee - 3 tbsp
Cumin Seeds - ½ tsp
Pinch of Asafoetida
Powder
Cardamom - 1
Cinnamon - ½ inch stick
Cloves - 2 or 3
Grind
Onion - 1
Khus Khus - 1 tbsp
Cashews - 4 to 5
Sugar - 1 tsp
Yogurt - 1 tbsp
Green Chillies - 2 or 3
Ginger - ½ inch
Method:
• Soak Methi Leaves in hot Salted Water for about 5 minutes.
• Then wash under running Water. Drain all the excess Water and keep aside.
• Beat the Cream until smooth.
• Heat Ghee in a pan, then add Cumin Seeds and Asafoetida . Add the ground paste and fry for few minutes.
• Next add powdered spices and Salt to taste.
• Then add Peas, Methi leaves , Cream.
• Bring it to boil, let the Gravy thicken.
• Serve hot with Rice or Roti!
