Mattar Paneer (Mutter Paneer)

This is quite a popular North Indian style dish. It can be prepared for just a simple meal or on any special occasions. Surely it's going to be a feast for Cheese lovers - why not try it in your home?
Serves:
4-6

Cooking Time:
30 min
Ingredients:
Paneer
cubed and fried until golden brown - 250g
Green Peas - 450g
Onions
finely chopped - 2
Ginger Garlic paste
- 1 tsp
Green Chilli
finely chopped - 1
Turmeric Powder
- 1 tsp
Red Chilli Powder
- ½ tsp
Garam Masala
- 1 tsp
Coriander Powder
- 1 tsp
Tomatoes pureed
- 100g (5g if using concentrate)
Oil
- 1 tsp
Salt
to taste
Chopped Coriander (Cilantro)
for garnishing
Method:
• Heat
Oil
in a pan, add
Ginger Garlic paste
,
Onions
,
Green Chilli
and fry.
• Add all the Spices except
Salt
and cook for 2 minutes
• Add
Tomatoes pureed
and
Salt
, cook until the
Oil
separates from the masala. If required add a little amount of Water.
• Next add the Green Peas and fried
Paneer
, mix well.
• Cover and cook on low flame until the Green Peas are cooked and the sauce has thickened.
• Garnish with
Chopped Coriander (Cilantro)
and serve with
Pilau Rice
and
Naan bread
