Plain Sev is a great anytime snack. There are varities of Sev - thick/thin sev with various flavours like Palak Sev, Methi Sev, Pepper Sev etc. Did you know that making Plain Sev at home was as simple as this?

Ingredients:
Gram Flour - 1 Cup
Hot Oil - 2 tbsp
Asafoetida - ¼ tsp
Turmeric Powder - ¼ tsp
Carom Seeds - 1 tsp
Salt to taste
Oil for deep frying
Method:
• Place the Gram Flour , Oil , Asafoetida , Turmeric Powder , Carom seeds and Salt in a mixing bowl. Add little Water at a time and mix well to make a stiff dough.
• Fill the dough into a Sev Maker and press out thick strands into hot Oil . Deep fry on a low heat till crisp.
• Cool and store in an air-tight container.
Note: Our Sev Maker has a variety of discs each with different holes/patterns for creating different styles of Sev.
