Coconut Milk is an essential ingredient in the cooking of South East Asia and India. Contrary to popular belief it is not the juice of the coconut, which, whilst a refreshing drink, is not used for cooking.
Rajah Coconut Milk
is made by pressing the meat of the ripe fresh coconut to extract the milk, after the shell, husk and juice have been removed.
It imparts a subtle mellow flavour to all curries and other dishes for which coconut milk is required. It is a must for authentic Thai cooking.
Ingredients:
Coconut Kernel Extract (60%), Water, Corn Starch, Stabiliser: Carboxy, Methyl Cellulose, Carraageenan Guar Gum, Antioxidant:Citric Acid.
Recipe Suggestion:
Mild Vegetable Curry
Ingredients
:
3 tbsp Rajah Mild Curry Paste
300g Carrots, diced
300g Potatoes, diced
200g Spinach, chopped
400ml Rajah Coconut Milk
Method
• Boil Potatoes in plenty of water for 15 minutes and drain.
• Combine all ingredients in a pot and simmer for 15 minutes, until vegetables are soft.
• Serve hot with
Rice
and
Naan Bread
.
Store in a cool dry place.
Keep refrigerated after opening.
