Shankar Poli is a deep fried snack item made in Southern states of India. This is made in sweet and spicy variety. This comes in handy as it can be prepared and stored earlier to any special occasion - saves your cooking time! |

Ingredients:
| All Purpose Flour - 1 Cup

| Red Chilli Powder - 1 tsp

| Ajwain - ½ tsp
| |
| Salt - 1 tsp
| |
| Ghee - 2 tbsp
| |
| Oil for frying
| |
| Water - ½ Cup (use as needed)

Method: | • Mix all the ingredients in a large mixing bowl with Water to make a soft dough. Knead the dough and let it rest for atleast 15mins.
• Roll the dough into 8 inch circles.
• Cut them into 1 inch diamond shape and deep fry them in Oil till golden brown in colour.
• Once it cools store them in an air tight container upto a month.
