Tolly Boy rice has been milled for over 30 years. The family named the rice after their son and have offered only the best quality rice ever since.

Tolly Boy Long Grain rice is a delicious accompaniment served hot or cold with savoury dishes. Try using chicken or vegetable stock instead of water to cook the rice, or season the water with herbs or spices for flavoured and lightly coloured rice.

Add a little vegetable oil, butter or sesame oil to cooked rice for extra flavour and to glaze the rice.

Cooked, cooled rice is an excellent base for rice salad, mixed with a selection of diced meats and vegetables, and combined with French dressing or mayonnaise.

Add 25g long grain rice per 600ml to homemade soup 20 minutes before the end of cooking. This will make the soup go further and provide extra flavour, texture and nutritive value.

In a recipe for meat or poultry stuffing, substitute some of the breadcrumbs with cooked rice for a lighter texture and delicious flavour.
