Making A Purchase Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping basket. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order.

We accept Visa, Mastercard and most major credit and debit cards. If you are shopping from outside the UK - your credit card company will automatically convert the transaction to your local currency.
Post & Packing Post & Packing charges are calculated when you checkout and are based upon your location. All charges are based on a maximum weight of 30kg. For packages larger than this please contact us before placing your order. Our preferred courier is ParcelForce.

Orders that do not include 'Perishable items' are normally despatched the same day (if received before 3:30pm). For orders that contain perishable items (Fruit, Vegetables and Sweets) please see below.

For 'Next Business day' delivery options your order must be received by us before 3:30pm. We despatch our parcels Monday-Friday at 4:30pm and, if you want to place a next-day delivery after 3:30pm and your order is urgent, please call us to see if we can still despatch it same-day. We will always try to meet your requirements.

Deliveries are made on 'business-days' (ie Monday-Friday) unless you specify a Saturday delivery in checkout (UK only / Bank Holidays excluded).

Orders that contain 'Fresh Sweets'
Orders that contain Fresh Sweets are despatched on Tuesdays (with the whole order). We recommend UK customers select 'next-day' delivery so you get delivery Wednesday.

Orders that contain 'Fresh Fruit and Vegetables'
Orders that contain perishable Fresh Fruit and Vegetables are despatched on Tuesdays (with the whole order). We recommend UK customers select 'next-day' delivery so you receive the order Wednesday. If your order contains less perishable items, such as Garlic, Ginger, Onions or Tamarind, your order will be despatched Monday thru Thursday.

Orders that contain 'Paneer'
As Paneer is a dairy product we despatch it using our unique 'chill-pack'. We recommend you select next-day delivery in the UK to receive Paneer at it's best. Paneer is shipped Monday-Thursday unless Saturday delivery is requested in which case we can also despatch it Friday

Local customers
If you live close to Spices of India and you don't wish to pay P&P you can select 'Collect by Customer' when checking out and come to our warehouse and collect yourself. Please call to check your order is ready before turning up.

UK Mainland
For orders over £30.00 to the UK Mainland P&P is FREE.
For orders less than £30.00 there is a nominal P&P charge of £4.95

Highlands and Islands of Scotland
For orders over £30.00 to the Highlands and Islands P&P is £7.50
For orders less than £30.00 P&P is £12.50
Highlands and Islands of Scotland comprise postcodes: IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-44, PH49-50, ZE

Channel Islands
For orders over £30.00 to the Channel Islands P&P is £4.00
For orders less than £30.00 P&P is £9.00

British Forces Overseas (BFPO)
For orders over £30.00 to BFPO addresses P&P is £11.00
For orders less than £30.00 P&P is £6.00

Delivery Schedule We endeavor to ship your order within 1 business day - delivery is normally within 1 to 5 business days. International orders are generally received in under 7 days.
Back Orders In the unlikely event that an item you ordered is not in stock, we will back order for you. You will always be emailed with the option to cancel your order if you would rather not wait.
Tax Charges Most items available from Spices of India are tax exempt. If VAT is applicable then it is already included in the price you see.
Credit Card Security Orders placed on our website are handled directly by Lloyds TSB Bank and Protx - the largest independent payment service provider in the UK. When you get to the payment pages you will see the golden padlock at the bottom of your browser which indicates this is a secure payment handling system. Credit card details are encrypted within 128-bit encrypted sessions which are further protected by multiple government approved firewalls. All details are encrypted during and after account processing.

Returns Policy We want you to be completely satisfied with our service and products. If, for any reason you are not entirely happy - please tell us.

You may return unopened goods within 7-days of receipt and, subject to inspection and acceptance, we will refund or provide replacement(s) as applicable. Due to their nature, we cannot offer refunds for perishable foods. Refunds will only be made via the credit/debit card used for the original transaction. Refunds will have post and packing charges deducted. Where an order qualified for free post and packing, we will deduct our post and packing costs from the refund. We reserve the right to deduct any other charges incurred by us such as credit card transaction fees.

To request a refund or replacement please contact us first by email or telephone. We will require you to return the goods, at your cost, to us for inspection. Spices of India will not be liable for goods that are lost or damaged in transit and recommend that you obtain proof of posting.
