    Raw Banana is a speciality of Kerala Cusine. Variety of dishes like Chips, Chutney, shallow fried banana are few among the specialities. This particular Curry is just apt for all those Garlicy flavour lovers. Serve it with hot Rice & Yellow Dal!

    Ingredients:

    Raw Banana (or Plantain) peeled and cubed - 2
     
     Oil - 3 tbsp
     
     Mustard Seeds - ½ tsp
     
     Chana Dal - ½ tsp
     
     Urad Dal - ½ tsp
     
     Turmeric Powder - ¼ tsp
     
     Few Curry Leaves
     
     Salt to taste
     
     Ginger grated - 1 tsp
     
     Garlic chopped - 1 pod
     
     Green chillies finely chopped - 1
     
     Pinch of Asafoetida
     
     Few Cashews fried
     

    Method:

    • Heat Oil in a pan, add Mustard and allow it to splutter. Then add both the Dals, Turmeric Powder, Asafoetida, Green Chillies, Ginger, Garlic and Curry Leaves and fry for few seconds.

    • Add Raw Banana, mix well and cook. Add some salt and mix well and cook until done.

    • Garnish with some fried Cashews and Serve hot!
