|Recipe for Chapatis:|
Makes 8 Chapatis.
2 cups Natco Chapati Flour
¾ cup of tepid Water
1 tbsp Butter Ghee
½ tsp Salt
• In a large bowl mix in the Chapati Flour, Butter Ghee and Salt. Rub well and add all the Water. Knead the dough well until it is soft and pliable. Put to one side for 10 minutes.
• Divide the dough into golf ball size pieces, dust with dry Flour and roll out until approximately 6 inches in diameter.
• Heat a heavy Griddle or Chapati Tava with a little Butter Ghee until hot. Place the Chapatis in the hot pan, heating each side for 1½ minutes or until small bubbles appear and the Chapati has turned brown.
• Remove from the pan, brush with a little Butter Ghee and serve hot with vegetable and lentil dishes.
