Spiced tea or masala tea is a traditional ayurvedic Indian tea which has been enjoued throughout Asia for centuries. Specially blended teas are mixed with spices to create a full flavoured tea suffused with the warming glow of cloves, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom and black pepper.
How to make spiced tea:
Spiced tea is traditionally taken with milk but is equally delicious without. Place 1 tea bag in a cup and add boiling water. Allow the spices to infuse fully for 3 minutes before removing the tea bag for the full spicy flavour. If making a pot, more or less may be added according to taste. Add sugar or honey to sweeten.
