Generations of experience have taught Veetee to mature their Basmati before milling and polishing to perfection.
• Measure 300ml (1/2 pint) of rice into a suacepan, add 1/2 tsp (2.5ml) salt (optional) and add 600ml (1pint) water.
• Bring contents of saucepan to the boil, stirring once. Reduce the heat and simmer for 12 minutes. Do not remove the lid.
• If all the water in the saucepan has not been absorbed, replace the lid and simmer for a few more minutes.
