Masala Buttermilk is nothing but seasoned Buttermilk. This is an excellent coolant for a hot sunny day and definitely a favourite of weight watchers - yes it's less in fat and calories too ;)

Ingredients:

Yogurt - 1 Cup
 
 Water - 1 Cup
 
 Oil - ½ tsp
 
 Mustard Seeds - ¼ tsp
 
 Few Curry Leaves
 
 Salt to taste
 
 Ginger grated - ¼ tsp
 
 Green chillies finely chopped - 1
 
 Pinch of Asafoetida
 
 Coriander Leaves (Cilantro) chopped - 1 tbsp
 

Method:

• Grind together Yogurt, Water, Ginger, Green Chillies, Coriander Leaves, few Curry Leaves and Salt.

• Heat Oil in a pan, add Mustard Seeds and allow it to splutter. Then add Asafoetida and the remaining Curry Leaves.

• Top this on the grinded Buttermilk and serve chilled.
