Pasilla Chilli is a long, thin chilli that can grow to 10 inches long. It has flavours of berries and grapes with hints of liquorice. Its sweet, earthy quality makes it an ideal partner for fruit flavours - try it with pork and apple or lamb and apricot! Pasilla chillies are also fantastic with sea food.
This is the third chilli in the Mexican 'Holy Trinity' with the Ancho and Mulato which make Mole Poblano: a dark, almost black sauce.
Rehydrate in warm water for 20 minutes before use.
Store in a dark, cool & dry place.
