Plain Sev is a great anytime snack. There are varities of Sev - thick/thin sev with various flavours like Palak Sev, Methi Sev, Pepper Sev etc. Did you know that making Plain Sev at home was as simple as this?
Gram Flour - 1 Cup
| ||Hot Oil- 2 tbsp|| |
| ||Asafoetida - ¼ tsp || |
| ||Turmeric Powder- ¼ tsp|| |
| ||Carom Seeds - 1 tsp|| |
| ||Salt to taste|| |
| ||Oil for deep frying|| |
• Place the Gram Flour, Oil, Asafoetida, Turmeric Powder, Carom seeds and Salt in a mixing bowl. Add little Water at a time and mix well to make a stiff dough.
• Fill the dough into a Sev Maker and press out thick strands into hot Oil. Deep fry on a low heat till crisp.
• Cool and store in an air-tight container.
